POLICE REPORT
CHAPTER 42.002 (11) of the Texas Personal Property Code labels household pets as personal property. Pets have monetary value. The police take this matter seriously and will assign an investigator. It is important to file a police report because this will support your case if the pet is found to be in someone else's posession who refuses to relinquish the animal.
