TLAC NU WEB SITE FEATURE:
There is a feature on the Town Lake Animal Center ite that you may wish to use, esp for people who have lost a pet. (Not that it replaces going to TLAC because the breed identification is not always accurate, but it is another tool that could be utilized) . The site says that TLAC will email you once a day when the breed you sign up for is at the center. You are emailed every day that the breed is there - which means if a breed identification changes on an animal who has been there a few days - as it sometimes does - you will be notified. It is suggested that you sign up for a few of the breeds that are similar to what you are looking for.

(the cat page mentions dogs and not cats in the text, but you are on the cat page -- just some sloppy copy paste work)
